St Aidans planting plan
Above is a moodboard displaying the type of plating I proposed for St Aidans 'hot boarder' planting. I intentionally used plants with a variety of interests year-round and chose non-toxic species. This was due to the site catering for people with a range of disabilities that may not understand the dangers of ingesting some plant material. This brief also mentioned people with visual impairements that will be using this space, because of this I focused strongly on all sensory elements. In particular I chose strongly scented planting like lavender, rosemary etc. I also chose wide tactile varieties so that visitors can run their hands along the border and feel the different heights and textures of the planting.
Above are the planting sizes to give a reference to go on when considering spacing and sizing.
